Andrean Lazarov is a critically acclaimed recording and concert pianist, particularly renowned for his recordings of romantic piano concertos. He represents a new generation of performers for whom playing is not just about transcending the technical challenge but also about embracing the sensational experience.

Andrean studied the piano with distinguished teacher Mrs. Darina Kantardzhieva in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. In 2008 he won the Lazar Berman International Scholarship, enabling him to study at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris where he was awarded the prestigious ‘International Certificate for Piano Artists’.

He has also studied with internationally recognised pianists Philippe Entremont, Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, Maurizio Pollini, Dmitri Bashkirov, Michell Beroff, Jerome Lowenthal, France Clidat, and for his latest CD recording of Rachmaninoff Etudes-tableaux, Alexis Weissenberg.

He is the winner of the renowned European Michelangelli Prize sponsored by Bosendorfer piano factory issued every year in Eppan, Italy. He has been awarded by numerous renowned prizes such as in 2007 he won FIRST PRIX of XIth International Music Competition-Festival “Hopes, talents, masters”. In April 2006 he won a “PREMIO BALEARIC ISLANDS” of Vth International Piano Competition Capdepera, Illes Balears, Spain. In June 2006 he won a Second prix for his own composition “Wordiana” of 11th Carl Filtsch Composition Competition,Sibiu, Romania. In 2001 and in 2002 he is a HONOUR PRIX WINNER of the “RECTOR’s GRAND PRIX” in AMDFA – Plovdiv for high achievement in music performance. In 2002 he is a TOP WINNER in Grand Scholarship Competition of Foundation on the name of the world famous opera prima “Raina Kabaivanska” and he is a PRIX WINNER of Presto Piano Prix for 2002. In 2004 he won a SPECIAL PRIX of XII-th International Competition “MUSIC AND EARTH” – Sofia 2004.

During the last four years Andrean is also invited as a Guest Mentor of International Piano Master Classes in Europe, Qatar, Dubai and USA.
